Fractional CFO, M&A advisory and AI implementation, led by one accountable principal.

Holding Advisory works with owners, CEOs, boards and private equity sponsors of middle-market companies: running the finance function, buying or selling a business, and putting AI to work where it pays.

Founded 2009, based in Cleveland. More than $1B in transaction value advised across 40+ mandates.

Three practices, one point of accountability

Clients often move between them: finance work exposes system gaps, readiness work leads to a sale, and a closed deal needs integrating.

Fractional CFO and operating advisory

For owner-led and private-equity-backed companies that need senior finance leadership without a full-time hire.

  • Fractional and interim CFO
  • Monthly reporting, KPIs and board materials
  • Cash forecasting and lender relationships
  • Finance systems, ERP selection and AP/AR automation
  • Sale and diligence readiness

Usual first step: a review of the finance function, with a written list of fixes in priority order.

M&A advisory, start to finish

For owners selling, companies and sponsors buying, and boards weighing a merger.

  • Sell-side and buy-side strategy
  • Target screening and buyer outreach
  • Valuation, deal structure and letter of intent
  • Due diligence, run end to end
  • Purchase agreement process alongside your counsel
  • Integration and the first 100 days

Usual first step: an exit-readiness review for sellers, or a target screen for buyers.

AI enablement

For leadership teams that want AI to produce measurable results, not pilots that stall.

  • Readiness assessment of data, systems and people
  • Use cases ranked by dollar value
  • Pilots with success measures agreed up front
  • Rollout, governance and staff training
  • Finance-function automation

Usual first step: an AI readiness assessment with a ranked, costed plan.

Dovid (Zusha) Gurevich

Founder and Principal

Dovid trained as an electrical engineer and spent six years designing carrier-grade telecom networks before moving into investment banking, M&A and finance leadership.

He has been the operating CFO, not only the advisor: building finance teams from scratch to more than 100 people, selecting and switching finance platforms, and consolidating systems through acquisitions and turnarounds. He built managed IT service businesses and led a roll-up of them, from acquisition through integration.

Every engagement is led by Dovid personally. Larger mandates add senior finance, technology and operating specialists from his network, managed by him.
